Welcome to Prayer for Israel

Welcome to Prayer for Israel

Maybe you arrived here just because you are interested in Israel. If so, we have some things that might interest you. Or, perhaps you are a Christian and you find the whole thing about Israel to be quite confusing or interesting. If that is the case we have resources that will really help you understand what’s going on click here.

Prayer for Israel (PFI) began in 1969 as a response to questions like, "What is happening in Israel and what has God to say about it?” Since then the nation has stayed in the world’s headlines and the work of PFI has grown. PFI founder Ken Burnett, as a Jewish believer in Jesus, discovered the importance of Romans 10:1 “My heart’s desire and prayer to God is that Israel might be saved."

So if you want just to know more about Israel and what God says on the matter do read some of our free resources. Once you have read them you may want to know more about praying for Israel. If so, please continue to scroll down this page.

Welcome to Prayer for Israel

PFI exists to inform partners about people, congregations and outreach ministries that have sprung up in the Land in recent times, and how you can be involved in praying for and supporting these indigenous works. In order for us to do that effectively we request you first become a Prayer Partner. Once you have become a Prayer Partner you will receive our monthly Prayer Bulletin plus other material and be put in touch with a prayer group, if there is one in your area. You will also be able to access the Prayer Partners area of our website for the most up to date information. This will help you get a better understanding of the issues, and maybe even encourage you to visit and meet some of the people you are praying for. Joining with others isn’t compulsory but it can be very helpful. If you are already convinced and would like to become a Prayer Partner, please complete the form at the bottom of this page.

Periodically we arrange Prayer for Israel Bible teaching and Prayer days, plus conferences in different parts of the country, where we often have Israeli guest speakers. Prayer Partners are encouraged to attend if they can. Whatever your reason for reading this, we pray that God will bless you as you look for and discover God’s purposes for Israel.

What is PFI all about?

First and foremost we are believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and of his son the Lord Jesus, the Messiah. Through him alone can one be saved, one body with the Lord Jesus alone as head. Jesus ever intercedes for those who acknowledge Him as Lord and Saviour.

Prayer for Israel (PFI) is an international, non-denominational Christian fellowship of believers linked together to bring the good news of Jesus the Jewish Messiah to the Jewish people, to encourage and support believers in a Biblical understanding of God’s end time purposes for Jesus’ Jewish brethren, and to pray to that end.

The first concern of PFI is prayer for Messianic and other believers in the Biblical Land of Israel, and that many more may be saved.

Why become a PFI Prayer Partner?

Why become a PFI Prayer Partner?

This is a good question, and when you look at it, there a whole host of reasons why one should be praying for the Jewish people, for Israel, that they all may be saved.

For example, in the Bible, in Psalm 122:6 God instructs us to Pray for (or to enquire about) the peace of Jerusalem – to whom should we direct our enquiry? To the LORD God, the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, and His Son the Lord Jesus the Messiah (The Christ) who is the only mediator between God and mankind.

What does it mean to be a PFI Prayer Partner?
